This blog is dedicated to the sublime instruments called nose flutes and which produce the most divine sound ever. We have chosen to discard all the native models from S. Pacific and Asia, for they need fingering to be played. We'll concentrate on "buccal cavity driven" nose flutes : the well patented and trademarked metal or plastic ones, plus, by a condemnable indulgence, some wooden craft or home-made productions.

Sepultura! Yes, Sepultura!



OK, four semiquavers at 7'04" and four other at 7'12". That's all folks. So we cannot call this a tremendous archive that revolutionizes the nose flute history. Yes, it is very anecdotic, but needed to be noticed : the Brazilian Metal band Sepultura played nose flute : 8 semiquavers in 1996, and this performance deserved to be saluted.
