This blog is dedicated to the sublime instruments called nose flutes and which produce the most divine sound ever. We have chosen to discard all the native models from S. Pacific and Asia, for they need fingering to be played. We'll concentrate on "buccal cavity driven" nose flutes : the well patented and trademarked metal or plastic ones, plus, by a condemnable indulgence, some wooden craft or home-made productions.

Don Luis : an humble hobbyist maker

Don Luis is retired from his programming job, and spends his time crafting some inexpensive things and instruments. « I make simple things with simple materials like paper, wood, cord, wire, etc. ». On his website, among the instruments, besides the kazoos, lay the nose flutes.

He also publishes his outline to make a nose flute :

Don Luis just finished a new nose flute, and put a video on his Youtube channel with the description : « I think it works well, but I am not a good player. »
