This blog is dedicated to the sublime instruments called nose flutes and which produce the most divine sound ever. We have chosen to discard all the native models from S. Pacific and Asia, for they need fingering to be played. We'll concentrate on "buccal cavity driven" nose flutes : the well patented and trademarked metal or plastic ones, plus, by a condemnable indulgence, some wooden craft or home-made productions.

Petite Gigue du Piémont

Some days ago, we posted a video by jpgzik, playing nose flute and dulcimer. The same musician just posted a new recording of a Petite gigue du Piémont (little Piedmont gigue). Still with a Bocarina, but this time accompanied by a diatonic button accordion.

  1. Instead of a big red nose the player seems to have big red lips! Good to hear such good instrumentalists interested in the nose flute!
