This blog is dedicated to the sublime instruments called nose flutes and which produce the most divine sound ever. We have chosen to discard all the native models from S. Pacific and Asia, for they need fingering to be played. We'll concentrate on "buccal cavity driven" nose flutes : the well patented and trademarked metal or plastic ones, plus, by a condemnable indulgence, some wooden craft or home-made productions.

Sweet Georgia Brown

A beautiful interpretation of Sweet Georgia Brown by the Gypsy Wranglers. The tune features a nose flute played by Joe Blumenthal, after he has been playing the double bass. The nose flute part begins at 1'21"

  2. You're right ... When I see good musicians playing on a poor plastic flute, I'm sorry... and i'm just talking of few bucks... The reason is there was only one (crappy) model of plastic nose flute available in the US for ages.
