The metal Humanatone, by James J. Stivers, was sold packed in a little carboard box. Several models were issued, and I assume the first one was the black one, printed with a golden typo.It was later replaced by a very attractive red box. Don't get shocked or soaked with tears, I didn't break my red box in order to propose an "éclaté" to you; I just recomposed it after having scanned each face (and the last bottom flap is a fake) :)

Hello, I have what seems to be a type 1 metal Humanatone (shiny nickle, little if any solder showing on joints, 4 rivets on 2 rectangular flanges etc) in box (coming apart at corners) and instruction sheet. Box is similar to one of your boxes but lacks the price. Instruction sheet is similar but not the same as your instruction sheet. I'd be happy to share photos / scans if useful.
ReplyDeleteHello Groffco, I'd like to see your pictures and scans! Please you can send to the email address shown at the top right of this page (contact .... noseflute.org). Cheers!
DeleteHello, the contact option on your page does not work for me. I have taken some photos. Looks to me that this is an earlier box than the one you show that has the price and model # (mine has neither) and the instrument itself may also be one of the earliest models.
DeleteSorry, comment just posted was by me (groffco)
