This blog is dedicated to the sublime instruments called nose flutes and which produce the most divine sound ever. We have chosen to discard all the native models from S. Pacific and Asia, for they need fingering to be played. We'll concentrate on "buccal cavity driven" nose flutes : the well patented and trademarked metal or plastic ones, plus, by a condemnable indulgence, some wooden craft or home-made productions.

An over-reactive cat

Let's go back to real values! Here is a funny video showing a cat who loves to sing along the nose flute... Thanks to Miss Birdy K. for having shared the link.

  1. This feline friend either thinks there is a bird to be had somewhere, or simply wants to have all attention to itself!

    1. These are possible explanations for the cat's behaviour - but I rather had the impression that it was a musical cat that wanted to encourage its companion to improve his musical skills or stop his efforts :0)
our animal friends are often underestimated...

  2. Oh, I know: I once had a cat that sang and played quatre-paws with me while I was playing the piano. I also once had a dog that accompanied me as I was playing the nose flute. They both really understood music, although the cat was more into Scriabin whilst the dog was more into Jimi Hendrix!:-)
