This blog is dedicated to the sublime instruments called nose flutes and which produce the most divine sound ever. We have chosen to discard all the native models from S. Pacific and Asia, for they need fingering to be played. We'll concentrate on "buccal cavity driven" nose flutes : the well patented and trademarked metal or plastic ones, plus, by a condemnable indulgence, some wooden craft or home-made productions.

Nasenflöte in a movie

At last! At last a movie showing a nose flute! Thanks to the Incomparable Nosy Diva, who is our watchwoman in Germany, we discovered Vaterfreuden (literally: The Joy of Fatherhood), a german movie by Matthias Schweighöfer, in which some seconds are dedicated to a wooden Nasenflöte. It is, so far, the only movie including a nose flute.

The movie, launched in February 2014 is a romantische Komödie. The topic has nothing to deal with nosefluting: A man is bitten in his parts and thus sterilized by his ferret. As he had previously made a "gift" to the sperm bank, he wishes to get back his own donation. But the semen has already been given to a young woman, who is married...

We must say that we haven't seen the movie, but only some outtakes the production pushed on Youtube. Here is the video, with the actors Friedrich Mücke (left) and Matthias Schweighöfer (right).

  2. Hello, Maikel! Hopefully not! I have not yet seen the movie but I will try for sure, it was launched in spring so it might not be shown any more. But I will follow the trace and keep you posted!
