I just took a regular brass whistle and filed it with a half-round file. Then, when the hole was done, I buffed the edges. Done!

Here is a sound sample : the sound is a bit "windy" because the labium window is wide, but the instrument is funny and really playable :
Je connais ça!, j'ai du bon tabac.
ReplyDeleteCool, I have several referee whistles and can give it a try.
Luis
Hahahah "j'ai du bon tabac ... mais il n'est pas pour ton vilain nez" !! :)
ReplyDeleteReally funny to do. To have the best sound, better play it a bit twisted, in order make the "air entrance" fit your nostril shape...
All the best!
Antoine
I find it amazing to see how simple and effective the concept of the nose flute actually is, proven by this 'whistle reversed into a nose flute'!
ReplyDeleteMoreover, this nose flute seems to have a great and fast attack!
Yes, it has a short air duct : this leads to a quick attack...
ReplyDeleteA.
