This blog is dedicated to the sublime instruments called nose flutes and which produce the most divine sound ever. We have chosen to discard all the native models from S. Pacific and Asia, for they need fingering to be played. We'll concentrate on "buccal cavity driven" nose flutes : the well patented and trademarked metal or plastic ones, plus, by a condemnable indulgence, some wooden craft or home-made productions.

CaptainBocarina c/o KennyMelodica !

Beautiful video by the famous Kenny (Kennymelodica), the famous CaptainLoveHandles shot in a gorgeous scenery, so vintage... (note the great Carnival plastic ukette on the wall...). Welcome (back) to nosefluting, Captain ScoobyDouche!

  2. Of course, Kenny and the Captains are music legends (see their more than 300 other ridiculous videos). Just this week they offered to send their Youtube login information to anyone who wanted to post an "open sauce" video, wearing a mask, and make up a Captain name for themselves.

The nosefluter in that video is actually...

    me.

    1. Also, I figured you'd like the Carnival uke. It's a sweet little instrument. A lot of my videos are shot in my "nerd cave" (note the stacks of comic book boxes).

  3. Yep, the carnival ukette is a nice baby. Have you tried also Maccaferri ones? Congrats for your Nerd Cave, it looks very cool :)

    1. I haven't tried a Maccaferri. I bought that Carnival off ebay for $12. I put Kala Reds on it. I'm a little surprised at what a good sound I get out of it.

Ha! Of course I didn't mind your mistake. Kenny is a good pal. I play melodica in the Kenny and the Captains tribute band called Jenny and the Captains. It's all in fun.
