This blog is dedicated to the sublime instruments called nose flutes and which produce the most divine sound ever. We have chosen to discard all the native models from S. Pacific and Asia, for they need fingering to be played. We'll concentrate on "buccal cavity driven" nose flutes : the well patented and trademarked metal or plastic ones, plus, by a condemnable indulgence, some wooden craft or home-made productions.

Nasenflöte und Pickelhaube!

Do you remember Steven Parkes, the British nose flute amateur maker who carved great and funny flutes ? Just check here! Steve just posted a funny video in which he plays the nose flute and the banjo.

« I'm also wearing a German pickelhaube for added silliness! » he declared. Indeed!

  1. Great stuff! The song is very well played and the Pickelhaube gives a very nice optical counterpart to the noseflute - pure beauty!
