This blog is dedicated to the sublime instruments called nose flutes and which produce the most divine sound ever. We have chosen to discard all the native models from S. Pacific and Asia, for they need fingering to be played. We'll concentrate on "buccal cavity driven" nose flutes : the well patented and trademarked metal or plastic ones, plus, by a condemnable indulgence, some wooden craft or home-made productions.

Bocarina as survival tool...

Well, it's certainly not the canonical use of a Bocarina, but it seems that FloydBlue had some success using his nosehorn as a shoehorn.

  1. The Bocarina is so incredibly versatile: I have peeled potatoes with it, skinned rabbits with it, opened beer bottles with it and scraped the ice from my car windshield with it. I have used it as cocktail strainer, a knife, a spoon, a water collector, a gold sieve and even as a Viking style compass. It has become my inseparable friend in times of need...

  2. Hehe, I thought of using the black bocarina over my eye for a pirate custom.

You could make a contest for most original use of bocarina.
