This blog is dedicated to the sublime instruments called nose flutes and which produce the most divine sound ever. We have chosen to discard all the native models from S. Pacific and Asia, for they need fingering to be played. We'll concentrate on "buccal cavity driven" nose flutes : the well patented and trademarked metal or plastic ones, plus, by a condemnable indulgence, some wooden craft or home-made productions.

Humanatone : a very early user manual

This is a rarity : one of the first Humanatone user manual. It was folded in the cardboard box with the tin-plate instrument. What is interesting (and quite funny) is that the creator of the nose flute didn´t know yet what would be the use of this new instrument : played for concert ? At church ? For fun ? Please read the texts and you´ll be amused !

And here are some details. The texts are simply delicious and describe "with difficulty" such a new concept offering an "unlimited capacity of expression".

  1. This Sheet is PRICELESS!!! How many could there possibly be still in existence? It's probably the FIRST THING that got thrown in the Garbage after the Humanatone was removed from its Box. THANK YOU Antoine for Displaying this FINE PIECE of Nose Flute HISTORY.
