This blog is dedicated to the sublime instruments called nose flutes and which produce the most divine sound ever. We have chosen to discard all the native models from S. Pacific and Asia, for they need fingering to be played. We'll concentrate on "buccal cavity driven" nose flutes : the well patented and trademarked metal or plastic ones, plus, by a condemnable indulgence, some wooden craft or home-made productions.

Experiments around the Bocarina

Just after having received the plastic Bocarina I sent to him, Master Ki Kanban, born experimenter and nose flute analyst, published a bamboo version of the South African instrument on his blog.

On my side, and to fulfill a wish of the Nosy Diva, I just sprayed a Bocarina with a nice golden painting coat, for a very bling-bling result !

    1. Dankesehr, das ist sehr nett. But do not spend too much time for the stupid demands of a crazy collector, this one is not so important - I think the difference to your collectaddiction is that I only collect instruments for practical use not for the completion of a collection - you the scientist, moi l'artiste, parfait comme ca!
